By creating an account or using AmberLark, you agree to these terms. AmberLark is operated by Eric Brafford, Inc. ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

The service

AmberLark is a budgeting application that connects to financial institutions via Plaid to sync transactions, provides AI-powered categorization, and generates budget reports. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

  • One person or legal entity per account (organizations can have multiple members)

Bank connections

By connecting bank accounts through Plaid, you authorize AmberLark to access your transaction and balance data on a read-only basis. AmberLark does not access your bank login credentials, and cannot initiate payments, transfers, or any financial transactions on your behalf.

Billing and subscriptions

  • Subscription plans are billed monthly via Stripe
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Plan limits (number of bank connections) are enforced at the plan level

You agree not to:

  • Use AmberLark for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access another user's data or account
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
  • Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage

Data and privacy

Your use of AmberLark is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Limitation of liability

AmberLark is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide financial, tax, or investment advice. Budgets and reports are based on the data available from your connected accounts and may not be complete or fully accurate. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eric Brafford, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the application. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
